Hey there!
Let me explain a bit about how we are planning on approaching new characters, and hopefully we can figure something out too! Unfortunately, we have no plans on adding new main characters at this time. Since each of the 5 main characters are an important part of the story, it is no simple matter to just add new ones (That said, down the road this is a possibility). However, what we can do is add new sub-characters. Sub-characters support your main character in the single player campaign, and each comes with unique skills. Since these characters are a less integral part of the world, it will be much easier to create new and interesting characters (without breaking the current lore or balance).

You could cosmetically alter a characters appearance without interfering with any of that though right? Unless there are specific conversations that reference what a character looks like.
If not, then maybe whole character skins could become available (Krug could be a Dwarf!) ![]() ![]() |

I really like the idea of being able to form different teams of characters than just using the main characters. You could even pull from an idea that one of my favorite games (Dynasty Warriors) uses:
When you enter maps and dungeons you have a chance of random encounters with "Special" NPCs. These NPCs can be captured or will submit to you after you defeat them. You can then have this NPCs as part of your team and you can train them. This would be a really cool idea for this game because you could have random dungeon encounters with NPCs that are like bounty hunters, treasure hunters, knowledge seekers, etc.... You could just have a short story for that particular NPC as to why they are where they are, but they would not affect the main story line. ![]() ![]() |
